    I have not been able to find an illustrator with those initials so I'm not sure if its a persons initials or could stand for Fellow of Geological Society. Perhaps see if there are more clues in the intro to the book where you found the illustration? For now I would not hashtag it. Thanks!

    Thank you for your explanation. It seems its like you say - the title of the article is "The flint tools of north Devon" by Townshend M. Hall, F.G.S. So it is probably Fellow of Geological Society.
